 金色の森に出会ってから二年半の月日が経ち、わたしは妹家族のもとを再び訪れた。

「あの森にもう一度行きたい」と妹に伝えると、

「長い冬が終わり、春の森が待っているかもしれない」と。

森への再訪は、どんよりとした土曜日の午後だった。

冒険好きの姪に導かれ、わたしは森の中へ足を踏み入れた。

おとぎ話のひと場面を切り取ったかのようなこの森は、

春を迎えて、初々しい緑がしっとりとあたりを包んでいた。

わたしたちの存在が溶け込むほど、森は静寂に満ちていた。

わたしは夢中になって、写真を撮り続けた。

まるで森が見守ってくれているかのようだった。

森を抜けて、遠くに見えるダウンタウンを目の前にしても、

全身で感じたあの神秘的な時間は、わたしの中で今も続いている。
